Cryptocoryne auriculata ‘Tiger stripes’ ‘Julau’ – spathe

I am happy to say I got this Crypt to bloom. I would say It was quite easy, just beech tree litter (mixed with some Seramis = clay based substrate), pH round 4,5 (EC approx. 250-350 uS/cm) and after 8 months I got this pretty spathe.

(Note. I took these photos at night. I rather add more, because the quality can vary).

Cryptocoryne auriculata getting “Tiger stripes”

I have Cryptocoryne auriculata “Tiger stripes” ´Julau´ for some time now (3 months). As the leaves got bigger it finally got its beautiful pattern. I can’t wait for a spathe. Hope it comes soon.

I was unable to take a photo of these pretty leaves during the day therefore this was taken in “low light condition” using just my lamp.

Cryptocoryne auriculata “Tiger Stripes” ´Julau´ – new addition

I got this Cryptocoryne in March/April. It was in submersed condition and had a nice pattern – Tiger stripes as the label said. Soon after it converted to emersed form it lost these stripes. But I am still waiting when the plant grows larger, so who knows.
